About how many people would have lived in a single country house of the lower classes( peasants and serfs) in medieval western Europe? How would this change, if at all, in the early, mid, and late middle-ages? How large would a household have to be to be considered unusually large?

Much of the popular knowledge of Alexander the Great focuses on his conquests and the aftermath of his death, but not as much on Persia. Do we have a sense of what was going on in the Persian Empire shortly before Alexander did his thing? Was there internal strife that Alexander took advantage of?

I heard the claim that in antiquity, greek men preferred homosexual intercourse over heterosexual one, because it couldn't lead to unplanned pregnancy. Is there any truth to this, since heterosexual anal intercourse would also massively decrease the chance of pregnancy.
